How To

How Do They Work?

Carbon Nails work very similar to press on nails you can order online. The main difference is Carbon Nails are made from high quality carbon fiber, unlike the alternative cheap/disposable press on nails.

Carbon Nails come in standard lengths, but 10 different widths you can choose from. The shape is the same for each size or width of nail. However, you can easily change shape of the nails to whatever shape you like as shown below. The length of the nails in each width are displayed below.

How To Find Your Size

Go to our sizing guide to get the correct sizes you need for each finger.

Can I Change the Shape And Color?

Yes! You can shape Carbon Nails just like you would regular press ons (its actually easier) or acrylics. You can use a file on them to shape them however you like. You can also use an electric nail shaping tool or quickly shortening the nails. Wear a mask if using an electric nail shaper.

We do recommend taking them to a professional if you've never shaped nails before, because you only need to get them done once to have beautiful nails for life.

You can easily put polish on top of the Carbon Nails. Plus, you can remove it with nail polish remover without harming the Carbon Nails. It may take a few more coats to cover the Carbon Nails when using thinner polishes.

How Do You Put Them On?

We are very proud of our innovative Carbon Nails. But, our Carbon Gels, which are the adhesives used to attach the Carbon Nails may be even more innovative than carbon fiber nails..

When we perfected the manufacturing of the carbon fiber nails (which we have a patent pending btw), we quickly figured out we were only halfway finished, because the adhesives on the market were just not performing well enough.

Nail tabs would only stay on for 2 to 4 days, and then would start falling off. Plus, they just felt loose, like they were barely sticking on to your fingernails. In addition, they were thick, and you could see the nail on top of the nail tab.

The bottom line is they didn’t feel good to have on, they didn't look good, and you could lose a Carbon Nail by falling off on their own after only 3 days or so.

Using nail glue wasn’t an option because it would be very difficult to get off of the carbon fiber nail. Plus, it is toxic and damages your nail bed.

We were determined to have a healthy and easy to use adhesive.

The only option was to develop the best nail adhesive ever. After consulting with a few of the world’s leading adhesive manufacturers, months of testing many different adhesives, we are extremely proud of the finished product.

Carbon Gels are a toxin free and ultra strong adhesive that will stay on for up to 2 weeks. In addition, it is made from medical grade non-toxic adhesive, and is breathable. It is a cross between the adhesive strength of gel nails and the easy to use nail tabs.

Our goal was to have an adhesive that would keep the Carbon Nails on securely for 1 week. This really meant that we needed an adhesive that would last up to 2 weeks, but would feel “stuck on to your fingernail like with nail glue” for 1 week.

It’s because after 1 week there is no point in keeping them on and letting your nail growth show, when you can simply remove them, and put new Carbon Gel on for a brand new manicure.

The result is incredible and we are extremely proud of what we accomplished. When you attach a Carbon Nail with our Carbon Gel, they feel like they are glued on, and there is no “wiggle” at all between the Carbon Nail, Carbon Gels, or your fingernail. Yet, you can remove it easily anytime you want. After you wear Carbon Nails for a week your fingernails will actually be healthier!

How to Install Carbon Nails With Carbon Gels

Note: The adhesive used in the video is not our Carbon Gels. We have been developing and testing adhesives non-stop to continually improve them. We will always keep developing them to provide you with the best adhesives and because its fun :) The manufacturer is making the die now to produce the easy to use adhesive. It will be the same process as in the video.

Putting on Carbon Nails is just like putting on press on nails. First, wipe both the under side of the Carbon Nail and your fingernail with rubbing alcohol to make sure they are clean and oil free.

Remove the Carbon Gels that fits your fingernail. Place it on your fingernail and trim the excess that sticks out past your fingernail. Gently place the Carbon Nail on your fingernail. Make sure it is lined up correctly with your fingernail.

Finally press and hold down the Carbon Nail for 10 seconds.

That's it!
